The Journal of Hellenic Religion is determined to protect your privacy. Your private information and their confidentiality is a very important matter to us. Our purpose, therefore is to enable you to use the website without having to reveal more information than is necessary.

Data Collection

We collect only information that depends on the nature of your involvement with the JfHR website. That is only on the following case: you wish to post a comment to an article / message. In this case you will need to provide your full name and email for spamming protection. Our system, therefore, is developed not to store the email but rather to use it as a recognition of your true nature of comment.

Cookies

We do use cookies to help personalise your use of the website. This file uses information that may include info on your use of the website, information about your computer (IP address browser type, demographic data and your referred URL). If you are a registered user or subscriber this may include your name, password and email address for verification purposes.

Thus we use the cookies for:

  • identifying returning users, registrants and subscribers and to allow subscribers access to JfHR's Archives
  • tracking your use of the website for better development
  • and to build a demographic profile
  • You can delete your browser cookies at any time. You can even set your internet browser so that it will not allow cookies to be stored on your computer. This may result to a reduced functionality and to prevent access to subscriber-only areas.

    We also permit 3rd party companies to set cookies on JfHR website for purposes which may include serving advertisements, revenue. The companies are the following: Google Adsense, Google Analytics and Paypal.

    Financial Dealings

    The JfHR uses Paypal for electronic subscriptions and orders. They will ask for certain information. The information shared with us are the following: your full legal name, and address. With these information we can post you your purchases. We do not see or keep credit card details unless you specifically send them to us.

    We do not share any of your personal information with third parties and we do not store any of them.
